Monthly Loves // January

Can you believe we’re already almost half way through the first month of 2018? I can’t! It feels as though I blinked and suddenly, two weeks passed .. craziness.

Something I wanted to start for this year is writing out my favourite things each month. So without further ado, here are the things I’m loving for the month of January!

R E A D I N G :

× The Christian Atheist by Craig Groeschel. This was my reading assignment for the month of December and I HIGHLY recommend it. It’s a pretty easy read, and Craig is extremely honest about all of his own shortcomings while still being interesting & funny. If you can get your hands on it, please do!

× The book of Isaiah – slooooowly studying this one. It has been a bit of a challenge, as it isn’t always easy to understand, but I have really enjoyed diving into the deeper meanings behind the prophesies.

L I S T E N I N G   T O :

× OPEN HEAVEN / River Wild by Hillsong Worship. This album is just about three years old already (what??) but it is just full of SO many gooders. It’s been my go to for worship/driving/chill music this month.

× The Greatest Showman soundtrack .. although I’ve more so been singing this one at the top of my lungs than listening to it! This movie absolutely blew me away. It is magical. The cast is perfect. The songs are beautiful. I am still speechless to be honest

L O V I N G :

× Anything light pink. My Christmas list this year was short and sweet: “Just something pretty & pink!” There’s about a 95% chance that I have something pink on me at any given moment lately, and it brings my heart so much joy

× Wood grains + fur. A match made in heaven.

×  Watkins Medicated Ointment– we have had a tin of this stuff in our house for as long as I can remember. My lips get painfully dry and cracked in the winter, so I have been putting this on every night before I go to sleep and it helps a lot! I also use it on my hands when they get really dry, or on my chest when I have a cold, or on my forehead for headaches … it is incredibly versatile and works so well.

× These pens from Indigo. They are the PERFECT pen. They barely bleed through, and they glide soooooo smoothly. I’ve already gone through two of them and use them for all my everyday writing and journalling, as well as any hand lettering projects I work on.

I hope that your January has gone well so far, and that the rest of the month will be happy & healthy!

Britt
