Resurrection Sunday is one of my favourite days of the whole year – such a glorious reminder of our Saviour! He is risen! He is alive! And because of that, we too have life!
Our God, in His great mercy, sent His only Son to live amongst us. Fully God and fully man. He lived a perfect, sinless life. Then He was crucified and died on the cross, appeasing the wrath of the Father and atoning for the sins of all who would believe in Him. He was buried, and on the third day He rose again, defeating death and the grave! All who believe in Him and repent of their sins will be granted the free gift of salvation. Through Jesus, sinful man can be reconciled to our infinitely holy God. And we will live forevermore with Him, Hallelujah!
This glorious gospel is all our hope in a world filled with darkness. And what a hope it is! As I was preparing my heart for Easter, there were many songs that I found with the beautiful message of the gospel in them. I have compiled a little playlist, and I hope that it will be a blessing to you as you celebrate His resurrection!
