Monthly Loves

Monthly Loves // December

Processed with VSCO with g3 preset

In writing this post, I have officially stuck with my “Monthly Loves” posts for one whole year! Yay!

L I S T E N I N G  T O :

× The songs on this post

× Simply Christmas – Leslie Odom, Jr.

× Ingrid Michaelson’s Songs for the Season

× Home for Christmas – Amy Grant

R E A D I N G :

× Hooked: New Science on How Casual Sex is Affecting our Children by Joe McIlhany and Freda McKissic Bush // This book is SO good. I highly recommend reading it. There’s no religious bias to it, it’s nothing but purely science based facts. There’s a whole lot of intellectual nerdiness to it but overall it is very enjoyable, and I think there can be great benefit to reading it.

× Homebody by Joanna Gaines // AKA my current favourite coffee table book. Every aspect of it is GORGEOUS.

W A T C H I N G :

× A whole lot of cheesy Holiday movies:

  • A Christmas Prince
  • A Christmas Prince: The Royal Wedding
  • The Princess Switch
  • Christmas Inheritance
  • Christmas Wedding Planner
  • The Holiday Calendar

… I don’t know what it is that makes these movies so wonderful, but I love them. They are my guilty pleasure. So clean, so cheesy, so beautiful.

× The Final Table

× Julie & Julia, which I am adding to my list of all time favourite movies. So funny and so cute.

L O V I N G :

× Brown paper packages tied up with string ….  (I sure hope you sang that as you read it)

× Tree Scents Holiday Room Spray from Saje – makes it smell like you have a real Christmas tree in your living room

× Sand & Fog Candles – you can find these at HomeSense. They’re made with soy wax & essential oils, so you can feel good about burning them. I have Chai and White Pine – they smell absolutely incredible.

Happy New Year! My prayer for each of you is that this first month of 2019 brings all kinds of wonderful things your way.
